This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Does anyone remember how they felt when old money changed to new - I think it was 1971? I remember more than anything a sense of extreme outrage that Mars bars had virtually doubled in price just because of the money change. After all - I was 11 years old - it was a very important issue to me at the time!
