Tell me I'm not crazy but does anyone else in Scotland, England, Ireland or Wales remember a Choc Ice called something like 'Midnight Mint' from the 1970's? Funnily enough it was mint flavoured, possibly with a plain chocolate coating and it came in a dark wrapper with an owl on the front.
No you are not crazy. I worked at Walls before 1970 and we made Midnight Mint Choc Ices exactly as you describe. One of my favourite ices. I wish that they would revive it. Fond memories from Charlieboy.

Yes, I used to love them, but it seemed we only got them when we were in England in the summer. I remember the owl, don't remember the coconut. I think that was a different ice cream. I thought Midnight Mints were the height of sophistication...I was about 10

Yes! They were a bit coconutty in texture, we used to buy them in a local sweet shop which was run a trio of scary people like in the league of gentlemen's local shop...........

Yes, I used to love Midnight Mint. Dark chocolate coating with mint choc-chip ice cream. The choc chips were tiny though. / They went the way of Dalek Deathrays and Dracula Lollies, I'm afraid.

Oh lord I do remember Midnight Mint choc ices - they were my favourite. Dark chocolate with a whiter than white mint ice cream centre. I wish they still made them now!

I certainly do remember Midnight Mint.
It was a mint flavoured choc ice from the mid to late 1970s. Yes there was owl on the wrapper.

Yes I remember these, my dad used to buy them in beejam's and we were only allowed one as a special treat. Mmmmm they were lovely - dark chocolate with mint ice cream (can't remember if the ice cream was white or green) in a black waxed paper wrapper with and little white owls on it. Have not seen them since the 70's
