Unfortunately I've never seen the original, though have seen all the sequels. I also recall a spoof sketch that involved all the crew members of the 'Nostromo' chasing after the Alien, who was making off on a bicycle!!

This is one of the second horror films I have seen, the first was Carry on screaming which is a bit tame. My sister had a nightmare the alien was under her bed.

I remember Alien as the scariest film I ever saw. The cinema was so cold which made a perfect backdrop for the alien planet. I shivered all the way through except in the spaceship where I relaxed only to be frightened to death when the creature emerged from John Hurt's chest. The film was so well made and the heroine was so unexpected - just brilliant.
