Blackadder

Blackadder : There were 4 series of Blackadder. They starred Rowan Atkinson as Blackadder himself, Tony Robinson as Baldrick, with Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and a few other people with bit parts.

Ben Elton was one of the writers, and it was shown on TV during the late 80s/early 90s.

It didn't actually have a catchphrase as such, but did have the word cunning in each episode a few times. "A plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasle" being my fave.

"I have a cunning plan, m'lord" was Baldrick's obsession (apart from turnips!). Series' 2 and 4 were my favourites

Watching Blackadder goes Forth as part of a Year 8 History lesson, and again for A Level English Lit. Much better than reading

Started out hilariious and got progressively worse, Back And Forth (for the Milennium celebrations at he Dome) was cr*p. Black Adder was the funniest, but BA II was better written, BA The Third was a bit of a let down and BA Goes Forth was all but unwatchable, re-hashed jokes and cr*p characters... But that's just my jaded opinion, thank God they killed it after that, rumours abound that it's coming back, I hope they're wrong.

Also remembered...

Teddy Edward

Teddy Edward

Teddy Edward was on TV through the 1970s. The show was based on books by Patrick and Mollie Matthews, and followed the adventures of a stuffed toy teddy called Edward. Off he'd go with his little brown suitcase on holidays and adventures to real places. He'd often go with his friends Jasmine the rabbit, Snowytoes the panda and Bushy the sheep.
