Greenclaws was a children's TV show from 1988 all about about a friendly big green monster who was keen on gardening. I used to love it as a child but Owlma the owl did scare me a bit!

Greenclaws and his friend Iris (a human) would plant seeds in his Greenhouse and put them in a magical tree that was guarded by Owlma. For some reason Owlma wouldn't let Greenclaws plant his seeds until he had answered some questions.

The seeds used to grow into exciting plants such as a money plant or a sweets plant or something!

    i've got it recorded on some old video tapes from way back! it was amazing! the seeds were always so amazing, but more like the size od walnuts as opposed to seeds! iris always used to say "lets put it into the secret growing place in the riddle tree". all coming back now! (not that I'd ever forgotton!)

    lol i was born in the 90s but they showed it around early 2000 but then stopped showing it. I thought it was great me and my brother were talking about it the other day but none of my friend have ever heard of it lol they think it sounds wierd but I guess they have to watch it to understand it lol

    OMG, GreenClaws, thats wot it was called, I have been tryin to think of the name, I used to love watchin this prog as a kid, it was brill, I loved watchin to see what the plant would grow into and I loved the owl too, this is a classic, the kids today dont know about all the cool stuff we used to watch, - kids tv in the 80s was the best ever, i would love to go back to that time, I have many happy memories of my childhood and this is definitely one of them, oh yeah !!! I cant find a clip of Green Claws anywhere, why is there no clip ?

    This was my most favourite programme EVA!!!! None of my friends remeber it and for a while i thought i'd dreamt it up!!! I used to want to buy seeds and plant them hoping they would turn out magical!!!

    Oh my god, other people who remember greenclaws, it's my favourite ever ever. Strange how not many people remember it but it was so fab, i want to watch it again NOW !!!

    I used to watch greenclaws, no one i speak to can remember it. It was amazing to watch when alma the owl used to twit to woo, i can just remember all the special seeds and then when he planted them they came out with amazing surprises. i would love greenclaws to make a come back even though im a older now. im sure i will still find it magical.
