Corona soft drinks

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

"Every bubble's passed its FIZZical!" yelped the Ernie Bilko-voiced Head Bubble in the cartoon ads for this knobbly-bottled orangeade. Very popular in the '70s. The idea of devouring an entire army of bubbles and then belching out their remains appealed to the juvenile mind.

I'm looking for a man who used to drive for corona pop back in the 60's, his name was Terry and he delivered around North Hill/Mayhill/Mount Pleasant area in Swansea. He now must be in his 70's, would like to get in contact if possible. If anyone has any recollection of this person I would be very greatful. Robert

I loved that too, i remember sitting by the coal fire and mum would pour a shot glass of it for all of us and we would sip it and it really warmed your throat as you drunk it. I really miss it and hope there is someone out there that can answer your question.

I used to buy corona soft drinks. I absolutely loved the lime aid and cherry aid. It would be great if they still did them

I loved Corona - my Gran always had stacks of the stuff. First thing she'd do when my parents weren't looking was stand in her pantry and swig straight out of the bottle. I can still remember the thrill of holding the cool bottles by their bobbly necks and gulping for all my worth. Dad always rumbled me, as he said I had a dose of "pop eyes" - all red and runny from the gas. It's all Nintendos and crack cocaine with the kids these days. Shame. ;o)

I used to get 10p at the off licence for every Corona bottle returned. 10p went a long way back then so i could fill my little fat face with sweets quite well.

when i was young, and living in Porth in the Rhondda, I remember collecting the bottles and taking them back to the bottling factory which was at the bottom of the hill on the main road and getting the deposits back on the bottles before going to the shops and buyin sweets.

I LOVED Corona fizzy pop!!! I remember going to my nanans house every saturday afternoon throughout the 60s n 70s and indulging in bottles of the stuff along with Mr Kiplings fancy cakes, World of Sport,Grandstand, everybody being told to shut up while the pools results came on and then..........Dr Who with William Hartnell or Jon Pertwee. Sometimes we stopped long enough to have to endure The Black & White Minstrel show! lIoved Corona pop cos it ALWAYS,always went up your nose... you know what i mean don't ya? it was that fizzy! My nanan was known as Nanny Pop becos of the pop we got when we went there as opposed to the other nanan who was Nanny Dog cos..... she had a dog! Simple really when your 7 years old. Bring back Corona and big burps!
