Concept Keyboards

Not actually a computer but a peripheral; however it still seems to belong here, rather than in the technology section. Does anyone remember concept keyboards, as used at school with the BBC Micro? They were a large, flat, blue-rimmed keyboard with a touch-sensitive white keypad marked with a grid of squares. Over the top, on a plastic sheet similar to an OHP transparency, could be overlaid many sets of symbols and small pictures, allowing children effectively to press large keys marked with pictures only, oddly like Why Bird's computer on Playdays! One of many Eighties innovations that seems to have vanished.
