Clarks Electric Foot Measuring Machine

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

I remember going to the local Clarks shop for school shoes and made to stand on a machine that used to scare the life out of me that was supposed to tell your shoe size - always thought that the metal bars would crush my feet!

I actually used to love these when I was little! The metal bars used to tickle slightly when they touched my feet, and with all the machinery there I often used to pretend that it was turning me into a cyborg! :P

These things used to scare me to death. I'm sure the lady in the shop we used used to get some kind of perverted kick out of frightening children. It made an horrible noise and was very cold on you feet.
