Caprice

It was The year 1970 or 71 when I wore a purple midi dress, a silver choker, mullberry eye-shadow, black mascara, peach blusher, my hair was light-brown and syled in a christine hair-do, with pink suede flapper-style shoes and Caprice perfume spray, I was sat in the pub with my friends listening to Woodstock on the jukebox, and I felt so, so, beautifull.

Caprice was made by Yardley and came in a trendy pink-top bottle.

    I must be the same vintage. For me, it was a purple midi dress, white boots, long red hair and fringe a la Cathy McGowan. For me Caprice is a still evening in Amsterdam, autumn leaves falling on the canals, and a madly attractive man...

    Thirty nine years on, I can still remember the smell of Yardley Caprice. I wish they'd bring it back, along with Jovan Frankincense & Myrrh and Goya Aqua Manda....
