Beezer

I remember the Beezer being the same size/format as a tabloid newspaper and I always felt quite the "grown up" reading it!

The main characters in Beezer were "Ginger" (gimmick - he had ginger hair!), "Pop, Dick and Harry" (a dad and his twin sons), "Nosey Parker" (self explanatory !)and "The Banana Bunch".

The format was changed to A4 size in the 80's and eventually the Beezer was combined with its sister comic the Topper in 1990, then 3 short years later it was no more.

Does anyone remember the Jellymen who had long arms with funnel like ends that produced plastic-like domes that they used to trap people? PaulG

Jelly Baby was in Cor ! I think, Dennis - Beezer had some clever stories, namely Col. Blink, a Mr Magoo-type character, Little Mo ( on whom I had a crush as a very young man !), and of course the Numskulls.

I'm not sure if this was in the Beezer but I think there was a character (a girl) called 'Jelly Baby' who's arms could grow very long like hoses. Very handy.
