Andrew McCarthy is a brilliant actor. I first noticed him in the Brat Pack movies. He then went onto to play Jonathan Switcher in Mannequin with "Sex in the City" star Kim Cattral. Great movie. Another movie you may remember him in was Pretty in Pink as Blaine with Molly Ringwald and also Weekend at Bernie's. It is a shame we have not seen much of him lately.

    I loved this man so much, even during the wooden performance he gave in "Bernies". When i turned 30 my husband wrote to him for a signed photo and gave me a box set of all his DVD's along with a book called "Looking for Andrew Macarthy" written by Jenny Colgon. Its a story about a woman turning 30 who goes on an adventure to track down her teen heart throb! its was the best present ever!

    I've been a huge fan of Andrew McCarthy throughout his carreer. I really enjoyed the story and his acting in Straight from the Heart, this movie was great.Romantic Comedy's is a perfect role for him, he's so great at it. I would love to see him in more movie's like this. It's a shame we don't get to see more of him. Thanks for the memorie's Andrew.

    One of my fav films ever is "Class" starring Andrew Mc Carthy and the gorgeous Rob Lowe. From start to finish its an absolute blast and has me in stitches even after watching it at least 20 times. In fact Im just going to watch it on DVD again now .....

    Catholic Boys, Pretty in Pink, St Elmo's Fire...oh how I swooned. Sensitive and artistic, the guy girls felt they could confide in...odd that only now looking back to I actually see just how utterly camp he was!
