Curse of the Cobra

Curse of the Cobra was a nerve-tingling game that involved passing your hand through a couple of "poised" cobras and placing plastic Ankhs into holes in a coffin. If the correct hole was selected the cobras struck and snapped together causing you to soil yourself.

Curse of the Cobra cost me many sleepless nights - I was young when I had it and was forced to play it all the time by older siblings. Everytime those blasted cobras snapped I had a seizure - how I hated this game... wish I could find it again!

For some reason, I just remembered this game recently -- this is one of only two sites anywhere I can find that has anything to say about it. I actually just blogged about it here: http://my.1up.com/do/blogEntry?bId=6423929&publicUserId=5380067. An excerpt: "That game really scared the life out of me -- I actually felt courageous whenever I'd bring myself to play. I remember my heart pattering quickly whenever it was my turn, and hearing the snakes "bite" was startling even if you totally saw it coming. And for some reason, I really wanna play it again!"

I was always scared when I played it but I got bored with it because I figured out how to cheat. If you put your ankh piece in the hole, but didn't push it in all the way, you could feel the trigger about to release and go to another hole

I have had this game since I was a young child. It still scares the heck out of me today! Every once in a while I bring it out when one of my friends needs a good heart attack. Truely a frightening little toy.
