Hill Street Blues

Created by Steve Bocho, Hill Street Blues was the forerunner to all of the American cop shows we know and love today. Featuring a large cast of realistically flawed characters, intelligent but messy storylines, and a mix of drama with black humour, this was one of the best TV shows of its day and remains a classic.

Famous catchphrase: "Let's be careful out there".

A brilliant series, good to see it's being repeated on C4, even if it IS in the early hours of the morning.
