Bob and Jonny ran the Training, also a guy named Brian in Lewisham, above the old restaurant, we played poker in Jonny's place above the shop. Manager of Lewisham that time should be Vernon Chai, he lived just behind my house in New Cross. TCR at the time were run by Joe and James, James then got promoted to Manager to open the Dartford branch, James was ex-Mc in Eltham and Bexleyheath. The Chinese manage is Vernon Chai, he lived just behind me in New Cross at the time. TCR was run by Joe and his Assist Mgr is James, who was promoted to Manager to open the Dartford Store. Yes, their Rye fish is superb, I am not even a fish fan yet I totally hooked on it. I remembered those Positran tills with the flat keyboards, I was a wizard with those and had a really good relationship with them. Great memories that will never come back. - Huckleberry's Burger Bar
I opened Dartford with James as the manager, moved from TCR, we then trained and helped open Southend, Mike Newton was the Area Manager then. It was the first store to moved from the horrid orange uniform to the smart blue/white colors, the three senior Johns were all there.
