Soda Stream

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

I can remember the Soda Stream bottles of concentrate. One drink in particular was bright green and called Witches brew. It tasted like almonds, and was revolting.

I remember having a sodastream as a kid. My Auntie gave it to us, as they had recently got a new one. Think its because my cousin was an only child (and proper spoilt!) Anyway I put milk in it to see what would happen, and when I pressed the button for the gas, it exploded and the glass bottle shattered, and there was milk everywhere! My mum went mad at me!

I remember our sodastream coming with three little bottle of concentrate to get started. After about 15 years the indian tonic water one was still full.. lemonade and cola were gone in about 2 days. We got a new "sodaclub" machine in 2005 and the cola concentrate is still exactly the same as the 70s. Just the smell whisks me back to when I was 6. Great!

My sister and I used to love our soda stream. It was so much more exciting that shop bought stuff, however it tasted pritty awful! That didn't seem to matter so much when you're eight! The cola flavouring was the worst!

My mum had one, it was huge and how exciting when you're 7 to make your own cola fizzy! Yay!

Apparently it was more hassle than it was worth - all that gooey flavouring, carboniser, pressing levers, washing jars, etc. Shop-bought pop is just handier & tastier.

My brother and I still have (probably irrationally) fond memories of a Soda Stream drink called Dracula's Blood, which was vivid red (natch) and alleged to be 'fruit-flavour'. The stuff was better than Shloer, as far as we were concerned...

I know it was childish, I was a child after all but do you remember pumping up the gas far, far to high just to see your mum's face as the cherryade you were making ended up in orbit(or all over the kitchen usually)? Happy days
