Poldark

Poldark was a great historical television series about Ross Poldark and his wife Demelza and their families and was based on the novels by Winston Graham. Ross was played by Robin Ellis and Demelza by Angharad Rees. Ross returned from the war in America to find the woman he loves married to his arch enemy George Warleggan. He then meets the urchin Demelza who wins his heart. Brilliant costume drama and great cornish scenery.

I certainly do. The lovely Robin Ellis and Angharad Rees, beautiful costumes, and the magnificent Cornish countryside, what's not to like.

To quote Clive James in his days as TV critic of 'The Observer'; 'The latest wall of corn from Cornwall turns out to be an anagram of 'Old Krap'. I rest my case' !
