Pet Shop Pals were actually called "The Littlest Pet Shop". There was a teal carrying case which looked like the front of a pet shop when closed and ,any of the animals were operated with magnets.

There were many different sets to buy, including: hamsters/mice which moved through tubes/ran on a wheel, kissing lovebirds, a rabbit and her babies (one nursed), dogs which could "pick up" papers/bones, a lizard which could change color with heat, swimming fish, turtles, and many more.

    my fired ues to have this i played with it all the time.

    I loved these - I was mainly collecting the dogs, but I had a lot of other critters too. I also had a charm bracelet that I had to send barcodes in to get the animal charms for it.

    I never had a pet as a child but playing with these toys made up for that. My favourite was the pony that when you stroked her mane her front leg moved backward and forwards and the puppy that picked up the newspaper.
