This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Neck purses were the trend circa 1977. Most were made of leather, with a leather lace attatched so you could wear them around your neck. I also had a fab one for Christmas one year that was made of a denim-type material and in the shape of a pair of jeans. it contained two pens, one cartridge and the other ball point, painted in stars and stripes.

    My sister had quite a collection of these- very good idea really, they were very secure and couldn't be snatched!

    we used to call them 'peggy purses' don't know why...anyone?

    I still have a brown rectangular neck purse that my aunt in Canada sent to me, in about 1977. I used to keep my school dinner tickets in it.
