Nationwide

As its name suggests Nationwide was a nationwide programme that was a BBC production for news and current affairs - it was originally fronted by Michael Barrat as the national anchor with a range of local reporters providing specific regional news - ie Look North or South Today etc.

Eventually Nationwide was fronted by Frank Bough before his move to Breakfast TV. Other reporters were Sue Lawley, Bob Wellings and Stuart Hall. Nationwide was broadcast after the 17.45 evening news - 30/40 minute programme.
