National Lampoon's European Vacation

The Griswalds win a vacation to Europe on a game show called "Pig in a Poke". In London, they drive around on the wrong side of the road, in Germany they visit the wrong relatives and cause a fight and end up being chased out of the country by angry Schuhplattl dancers.

In Italy Ellen gets kidnapped and Rusty keeps hitting on the girls with surprising success.

A classic 80's comedy with fine comic performance from Chevy Chase.

I remember the german beer festival where Clark Griswald gets roped into dancing in shorts. They do the slapping dance and he takes offence and they end up slapping faces and eventually it gets all out of hand. Also Clark takes a video of Ellen in a hotel room and when he asks someone to film him by a fountain that someone runs off with the camera and then Ellen sees her provocative pictures on billboards everywhere. She of course though that Clark had erased it from the camera before it got stolen.
