My Pet Monster was a large and very scary looking soft toy which came complete with plastic removable handcuffs (not sure why, now I come to think of it). The monster had bulging eyes and pointy fangs - some thoughtful relative of mine who shall remain nameless, kindly bought this for my son on his 2nd birthday and the poor mite suffered nightmares for a week before we found out it was the scary teddy!

Ever since then My Pet Monster has lived in my bedroom in a black bag at the bottom of the wardrobe and even though my son is now 19 he swears he can still remember it watching him from the corner of his room!

    I begged my mum for a monster for my birthday in june, but she didnt think they were suitable for girls. I continued pestering for one and finally got one for christmas. I loved it and took him every where. I still have him 16 years later and will never part with him. There were a couple of similar monsters released a couple of years ago. I have them too but it not the same has the real thing. My old monster has stitching in his head from when I sewed him up when i was nine. He has a carefully brushed parting in his hair that I used to use my sister eye brow brushes for and got in to trouble for. The plasticy coating has gone on his hands and feet because he got sprayed with febreeze and it peeled it away. GRRR.

    i remember them, my mum bought one, it was a my football monster, it had the big teeth warty nose, handcuffs, it also had a helmet and an american football top, im sure we still have it somewhere. oh, and it had soft horns that poked through the helmet aswell. it was cool.

    Yes, my bro also had 1 ehem, no, 2 My Pet Monster teddy-like-things. But i have them now. It's a darn shame they went off of the shelves b4 i was born, coz i love them 2 bits. There's the big 2 foot one and theres the little one that i have. Umm they r not in very good condition but im not sellin them eni way am i? i wouldnt even think of selling them.

    I had one of these for christmas and I was ill all christmas day with sickness,I hugged My monster on the sofa. I used to call him Monnie! ha ha ahh so cute. My mum couldn't unserstand why I wanted such an ugly thing!
