Football Crazy Crisps

Like miniature footballs, which tasted like bacon (of sorts) and fizzed to nothing on your tongue. You could save your bags and send off for your team's strip in return. The only trouble was the bags were so small that you needed about five in one go to even fill a gap. Bring them back. They were lovely! I think they were around the same time as Bovril crisps and Pig crisps.

Did anyone ever get a "flavour bomb"? A football that was just a chunk of flavour.

We used to be able to buy them at break time in my junior school, along with 'Outer Spacers' and 'Snaps'. I never remember seeing any free promo. stuff you could get with them, but maybe that came later- they'd only just come out in my first year at junior school, 1976 / 77, the packs had a different design from the one illustrated as well.

Ooooooo i loved football crazies!!!! I was only a very small child when they were available, but my older brother used to take me to the shop down the road and buy me a pack every sunday, mmmmmmmmmm. They brought out footballs a few years ago, which i think were meant to be the same thing, but they just didnt taste how i remembered :(
