Chain Lightning was the bitter rival of Domino Rally in the 80's domino playset wars. Neither of them worked well at all. In the TV ads they would show amazing falling domino setups with various devices being triggered along the way, like a rocket that launched or ramps and loops. The dominoes themselves were WAY smaller than real ones and most often couldn't stand upright because of defects. The devices NEVER worked. Still I kept buying them though because they were always on clearance.
