America's Most Wanted was a television show that profiled the FBI's most sought-after criminals. The host, John Walsh, took the show as an opportunity to help others when his 6-year old son was abducted from a shopping mall and found dead days later.
There were several segments per episode, each one giving all known details of the crime, the victims, and the criminals, along with pictures or artists' renderings of the criminals. Viewers could call in if they had any information that could lead to an arrest.
