An American Werewolf in London (1981)

Ohhhh, man. What memories here! I remember watching this with my best buddy at the time, Chris. We simply sat there on the floor in front of the old floor-console TV, and when the "dream monster-army" started wreaking havoc we simply hid under my 2 bean bag chairs.

Also, it is STILL, to date, the BEST Werewolf transformation scene of all time. Totally unsurpassed! One of my fond childhood memories.

I worked on 'Werewolf'. I remember that after the premiere at the Odeon, Tottenham Court Road, which finished at midnight on the night of a full moon, a colleague of mine went to the tube station to catch a train back to Hounslow West to retrieve his car, looked around and realised he was alone! He left the station and got a cab back!

I totally agree that the Underground scene was the scariest. It was shot at Tottenham Court Road tube station, for anybody that's passing through there and going up the escalator!!!

the interior pub shots were filmed in the Black Swan in Effingham, Surrey. The part of the film that stood out most for me is when it was chasing that bloke through the underground!

Best mix of horror and humor in a fright movie ever made. The best buddy who just won't leave was great! David Naughton lost his job with Dr. Pepper (he was the singing "I'm a Papper too" guy. They didn't think it was the right image for Dr. Pepper to have a spokesperson running naked in a movie and turning into a werewolf.
