Toys TOYS

Rivit-on

My younger brother had a Rivit-on in about 1978. It was a construction-making toy. which you could use to make cars, trucks etc by the means of the Riviton tool. The tool was gun-shaped (?!), and onto the end of this you placed black rubber bullet-shaped rivits and released them into the holes of the pieces/wheels you wanted to attatch in order to make your model. I actually think this toy was either banned or discontinued for health and safety reasons some time after it came onto the market. Perhaps because of many eager young would-be mechanics riviting things they weren't supposed to... like their ears!
