Party Sevens

Unfortunately (perhaps fortunately) I was too young to drink alcohol when these came out during the 1970s They were quite iconic and looked like a small beer keg almost - athough what they were was a larger than life can. Much like a heinz soup can, only full of beer! You would make a hole in the top of the giant tin can and another to let the air in, and then pour the beer! Very 1970's camping trip. It got it's name because apparently you could get 7 pints of beer out of them - however, from what I've heard the beer also tasted vile.

I remember my dad buying these for barbecue parties in the 70s, he still has no idea about beer and he's in HIS 70s now! Back then I was only about 8 myself and thought all beer was horrible anyway. I subsequently learned that Watneys just made awful beer. Whenever anyone mentions "six pack" these days I say I used to have a six pack but it is now more of a Party Seven. Most people have no idea what I'm taking about!
