One by One was the TV dramatisation of the novels by David Taylor, that centred on the career of Zoo Veterinary Surgeon, Donald. Having read all the novels, my recollection is that the series remained relatively faithfull to the original text, albeit cherry picking the storylines. I would dearly love to see One by One released on BBC DVD in the future.
