It might not be impressive these days, but back in the 80's Clarks had the most high-tech advertisements around! A kid gets out of bed, puts on his shoes and he is transported to a strange computer land, like an old Atari game, and defeats 'squared' monsters. Classic stuff! That would be the Hardware shoes....I COVETED these and my gorgeous Mum got me them. The sales assistant was aghast that she was buying them for her daughter! She was ahead of her time, my ol' Mum. Anyway - here's the advert! Total blast from the past.

Vanessa - I remember them - the girl had shoes on and when you bought htem i clarks you got ones that had a key on the bottom of the heel, you also got a badge in the shape of the key that was meant to be like the one the girl opened the door with in the advert

does anyone remember the clarkes shoes ad where there are loads of little girls in the street and as soon as the girls put their shoes on they all started dancing. they were wearing very colourful clothes. i would love to watch this again!!!

That advert was so cool. I went to the shoe shop to get a pair thinking they were great, however i was major dissapointed when i saw them on my feet so never bothered getting them!
