Bingo Bear

My sister and I had Bingo the Bear. Bingo wore a yellow necktie with his name on it in red. He also used to speak and he was really lovely.

When he was released Bingo Bear went head to head against Teddy Ruxpin, with the appeal being that he didn't just play 'taped' conversations, but actually responded to real chat.

Bingo Bear had quite a large collection of phrases including: "Can I ask you a question?" "You're so smart" "Are you famous?" "Do you live here?" "Do you love me?" "Why don't you have paws like me?" "Oh yeah? What else?" "Would you like to live in the forest?" "That's not what the bears say" "Are your knees made of cheese?"

He was quite an inquisitive little bear, although not always the brightest of the bunch.

Bingo was awesome, way better than Teddy Ruxpin. I still have my daughter's Bingo. No one has mentioned the sensors under his chin and in his tummy. These meant that certain phrases were much more interactive.

I love Bingo Bear. My older brother had one when we were kids. Periodically I still quote him and get strange looks from whom ever the statement of "that's not what the bears say" is directed at. "Are your knees made of cheese?"

I had (and still have) a bingo bear as a child. I loved it so much and my brother got so fed up with it, that he cut the wires. Even though he can't talk anymore I still love my bingo bear.
