Jammie Pie

Jammie Pie : Jammie Pie was a range of small soft dolls made by Playskool in the 80s. Each doll had a polka-dot outfit and had the Jammie Pie logo printed on the sole of their foot.

Apparently they are now extremely hard to find as the Jammie Pie line was discontinued after about two years. Rumour has it that the Jammie Pie dolls were based on Hallmark christmas ornaments.

Lots of the Jammie Pie dolls were dressed up in rabbit suits and these included the likes of Tuck, Lolli Bye, Primsy Rose and Bumble. Some of the Jammie Pie Dolls also came with their own little pets. The pets included Friskers, Pittipin, Spunkle, Catnap, Bumble, Dash and Duckle.

I've had my blue/orange Jammie Pie for longer than I can remember. At the age of 18 I still have difficulty sleeping without Jammie. He is a bit worse for wear and according to many people he is a scary sight. However he was always at my side as a child and will never be thrown away nomatter how tattered and torn.

My little brother was born in Sept. 1987, and in Dec '87 he got a Jammie Pie for Christmas, a lil boy one in blue overalls that had a lil moouse accompaning him. Jammie has been with our family ever since, he has been washed, mended, thrown up on, shipped, everywhere and he still lives with us. Jammie is for sure a member of our family.

The only way i could get to sleep was by rubbing her ear on the end of mt soother. My mom used to have to sneek into my room while I was sleeping to wash her, because I just couldn't let her go. I have had a Jammie Pies doll since I was about 2. I am 18 now and in college with Jammie Pies right by my side. She has traveled all over the country with me. She is in rough condition though...well maybe not rough...just loved, alot. When I was 3 I accidently left her at my aunt's house in Maine and I couldn't sleep with out her, so they shipped her over night to me. I think that I will continue to sleep with her until I have children so then I can pass her on, to continue to be loved. I would love to purchase another one just like her so my children can actually see what she really looks like, since her face has been bumped and bruised along the years, with patch jobs by my mom.

I have had my Jammie Pie since I was 8 months old. Now I'm 17 and I still sleep with Pie (my name for my Jammie Pie). I love Pie. Unfortunately, pie has suffered some damage over the years. Now I don't want to give her up and retire her to a shelf or something, but I don't want to risk further wear and damage. Still I love Pie, and hopefully he(as I have recently discovered Pie is a he) can forgive me for calling him a her for the past 17 years.

I've had my Jammie since I was born and I'm now 19. I love her and although shes worn I'll never trash her. Her hands were chewed off when I was a kid, her ears and head have holes, and shes faded and just completely worn but I love her. I have taken this doll everywhere with me from vacations to college now. When I was a kid I left her in Georgia at my aunts on accident, I cried the entire way home and didn't sleep until I got her back. Needless to say my aunt had her next day mailed and paid quite a fee to get her back to me. It seems that once someone has had a Jammie doll they never let them go.

As luck would have it I was in this out of the way store and saw 3 sitting on the shelf. I bought all of them!! My daughter had a favorite and he looks as though he's been through 3 wars. My daughter Kaylie had 2 Jammie Pie dolls, a White Bunny and a Pink Bunny. The were given to her by my mother and godmother - 2 of the sweetest ladies on earth. I hadn't thought much of them over the years, But Kaylie had. I didn't know that they were never far from her bed. These dolls served as a comfort to her when she lost both of these grandmothers. A recent move resulted in some boxes being lost - - unfortunatly the lost items included these two dolls. We started talking about the dolls yesterday, and I now remember how sweet these dolls are. Do you remember how they always smelled like a baby even after being washed? More than anything I would like to give my daughter back a piece of her childhood memories by replacing her 2 beloved dolls, any help that anyone could provide would be deeply appreciated. I'm not sure exactly when I got my Jammie Pie, but she was given to me by my grandmother. I named her Jammie (creative, I know). I took her with me on trips and stuff, and people always asked why I had a black baby doll (I'm white...). It never seemed weird to me though! She's in a purple and blue outfit, and apperently her name is Sprinkle and came with a little duck, which I no longer have. I have had my Jammie Pies (Clown Outfit) doll since I was a day old. It was given to me by a little old lady and it is the most precious gift ever given to me. I am 19, in college, and her home is still next to my head every night. When I was little, I lost her multiple times, I thought I was going to die, but when I left it in another state, they shipped her back, and my mom accidentally packed her in a box to go up into the attic, but a month later we found her. Her face is missing color, her clothes are worn out, her hands are practically gone, but I still give her all of the love in the world. My boyfriend tells me I have to get rid of her before we get married, that he doesn't want to sleep with that doll every night.. I just laugh at him, he has no idea...

I've had my Jammie since I was a baby, I actually have the one pictured above. She has been through many adventures, traveled all over the US, and has been lost many times... luckily I've always found her. One time I left her at my granfather's house in New Orleans, I couldn't sleep without her and had a fit; my grandfather had to send her to Maryland for me. At 19, I cannot sleep without her. I take her to college with me and she proudly wears a Salisbury University sweatshirt. This past year I found another Jammie Pie in my Residence Hall! This fellow Jammie Pies lover too cannot bear to have her Jammie lay face down, leave her at home, or get rid of her. My Jammie's face is dirty and fading, and her hands have had to be replaced, but I love her no matter what, and will never get rid of her. :)

I've had a jammie pie since my first christmas. I have the one in the clown suit, which I named Sara after the dinosaur in The Land Before Time. As a little girl, Sara would go EVERYWHERE with me. In almost every picture of me when I was younger I had that doll in my hand. It wasnt until I was about 5 that my mom hid my jammie pie from me. I sucked my thumb with her, and finally quit once Sara was gone. After I had quit, I asked my mom for her back, and she couldnt remember where she hid her! I was devistated. When I was about 10 or 11, my mom was cleaning out her closet and came across my doll. I was so thrilled!! At 20, I still cannot sleep without her next to my head at night. Over the years, I have aquired 3 of the same doll (the one that is so "loved" it has no facial features, and is tattered, one my grandma bought be at a garage sale for her house & one my parents found off ebay brand new in the box..with the little pet). I lost the pet that came with my doll, so this one is pretty neat. My boyfriend has accepted my jammie pie and even lets it sleep next to us in bed when he visits at college. My roomates, now that I'm graduating next year, have finally accepted her too. They all think that she's scary because she has no eyes, but I love her just the same. My mom is in the process of finding a fourth one to put away until I have kids of my own. Then my daughter will have a jammie pie to love just like I did for so many years and still do! I will never get rid of my jammie pie = ). It was the best christmas present I ever got!

I think its so cool that so many people have this kind of doll!! I have the one pictured above, named Dolly and i still sleep with her every night, and im almost 20.. i made sure to warn my roommate about her because shes pretty scary looking.. lol. and i went away on vacation with my boyfriends family and they thought she was pretty scary too, but i still love her to death.. my mom got mine for free from a store or something.. and ive had it since i was a baby when my brother who is 2 years younger than me was born, my aunt bought him a jammie pie too, thinking he'd like it just as much as i like mine, but he never really did. and also, me and my dad randomly found 2 more jammie pies at a garage sale one day! so i actually have 4 at home. if you go on ebay they're actually worth alot of money now!

Ah, my Jammie Pie. I remember her well. I named her Mary because she had a pet that looked like a lamb to me, I don't know if it was really a lamb though... One of my dogs bit the lamb off and tore it pieces, I cried for days. I had her ever since I could remember. I lost her though when I was 15. I have honestly been devastated ever since. I have recently started up a search to find another one. It won't be the same, but I am looking. Good thing I remember the patch on the bottom of her foot!

I got my doll for my first Christmas and when I was old enough to name her her name became green baby (she was kinda blueish green) She slept with me everynight or stayed near my bed till my youngest brother was born, one day he started sleeping with her and he is five now and still carts her around the same way I did as a child. My parents used to have to go back to the store if I left her because I absolutely had to have her at all times. I love my green baby and I'll be 20 years old soon. My little brother lets me sleep with her or hug her every so often.

I've had my Jammie Pie since i was 6 months old. she is purple with white polka dots. My Grandmother gave her to me and even at 21 years old i still can't sleep without her. I don't know what colors her eyes were though since, according to my mom, they faded the first time she was washed.

I have had my 4 Jammie Pies and their pets pretty much since I was born. I am 21 years old now and still love them very much! I just recently moved into an apartment on my own and of course they had to come with me! But this morning my doggie decided to chew into Spunkle's (which I have named Jamie) face and I am extremely upset about it!! I have been searching all day for one or a way to repair him. If anyone has any info. on how I can get it repaired or if you would like to send me a "Spunkle" I would really appreciate it!!!! Thanks

Unfortunately 25 years ago we were very small and it wasn't long before a much larger company had the exclusive rights to distribute in the UK. We are very pleased to be offering it again! And now includes a new seven step solution guide.

About Hawkin's Bazaar
Hawkin's Bazaar has been providing you with unusual gifts, toys and gadgets since 1973. Super Soakers

Super Soakers

Super Soakers were the ultimate in water weaponry in the 90's - and still are, in fact. The fact is, though, those guns made in the 90's were so much better than the ones made today - anyone remember the 1998 CPS line, with the CPS 2500 and CPS 1500? Or the earlier XPs, like the XP 95 and XP 150? What about the most powerful Super Soaker ever made, the CPS 2000? (SSCentral.Net for more info) Those were the real masters of the battlefield. No wonder people still seek them nowadays, since they still thrash today's SoakerTag lineup.

...and do you remember these?
