Blue Riband advert : The advert showed a guy strumming a guitar and singing (out of tune)...

#I've got those, can't get enough of those Blue Riband blues... Blue Riband's the wafer I really love. I've got those... can't get enough of those Bluuuuuueeeeeeeeee..... # (cue wife type person with a Blue Riband) "Oh, thank you!"

Can you help settle an argument - how as the "riband" pronounced - with the "b" belonging to the 1st (rib-and) or 2nd (ri-band) syllable?

I think the full song was....... I got those, Can't get enough of those Blue Riband blues. Blue Ribands the milk chocolate covered wafer biscuit I always choose. (sung fast to get it all in!) If my woman treat me right, She gets me that wafer biscuit so crisp and light. I've got those, can't get enough of those Blue Riband...oh thank you I know it's sad that I remembered this but.........

I reckon he turned up on "are you being served" as mr Spooner. This was late on in the series after Trevor "Mr Lucas" Bannister had left.

To "Bob" - it's the first one. Definitely not the 2nd. Remember 1/2 pence MoJos?

In 1982 Hawkin's Bazaar was the first to bring a few cases of the Rubik's Cube to England. Unfortunately 25 years ago we were very small and it wasn't long before a much larger company had the exclusive rights to distribute in the UK. We are very pleased to be offering it again!
