  • Pippa Dolls
I nagged my mum so much for Pippa when I was aout 11 yrs because my friend had dolls and I wanted one of my own. My mum spend ages looking everywhere for one for me, (this must have been around 81 when Pippa was disappearing from shops). My mum looked all around the toy shops and eventually found the last Pippa doll on the shelf in a store the last Pippa on the shelf (3rd ed Pippa) which she gave to me and I loved her and cherished her. However, my step dad (who was a bit of a clean freak) years later forced me to put my Pippa dolls etc in the attic because I wasn't immediately playing with them (I still really wanted to keep them, but at the time I was playing with something else) and weeks later when I wanted my dolls back, my step dad has got rid of them to a charity home or something. I was devistated, horrified, deeply traumatised for ever. So now, at 37, last Christmas my husband bought me the best Christmas prezzie ever - he bought me an exact replicar of MY Pippa and hand made a box and gave it to me as a prezzie - wow the best prezzie ever!!!!! However, I have now taken an interest in buying some more Pippa dolls and would like to keep them for my daughter and also would like to try and customise them in view of making them better - what I mean by this is replacing hair etc if been abused etc. Thanks for listening to my story - toys really do effect people for the rest of their lives...
