Seen them 5 times.first in 1976 and that gig still stands as the highest energy night at a gig I've been to ever. And I've probably seen and worked for 500 bands now. The only band that mattered to me at 17 and probably still are the only band that I related to completely. London calling is the sound track to my life and is some statement on how things could and should have been if it hadn't been for 1966 ten years earlier when I was 6. 10 No6 for 10p and you got a book of matches with them at our tobacconists. Wards. He used to collect embassy coupons and if you gave him 100 you got 10 No6. As kids we wandered the streets looking for Embassy coupons. Bus stops. Litter bins. The train station were good places to find them. You could buy park drive and sovereign for less but they tasted horrible.then as teenagers we moved on to Embassy red. Quality way to get lung cancer.
