My sons were born in 1969, 1972 and 1977, and I was a big Clothkits fan. Every new catalogue was awaited with eager anticipation, I would make a (very long) list of everything I wanted and then whittle it down to what I could afford! I have lots of photos of my children wearing Clothkits outfits, especially the dungarees, and we still have Kit (renamed Jack by my son Tom) in a cupboard somewhere. I also knitted them matching jackets and hats. But how I longed to have a little girl to dress in those gorgeous clothes. And alas, now I have my little granddaughter they are no more. Sigh...
