Twin Peaks was, and still is, a cult classic TV show that was shown in the UK circa 1990/91. I was about 11 when it was shown and it gave me some pretty disturbing dreams. It revolved around a CIA agent Dale Cooper (Kyle Maclachlan) and was set in a spooky Canadian logging town. The main subject was of the death of Laura Palmer, a high school beauty queen and the ensuing murder investigation.
Overall, the weird characters and even weirder events kept me coming back for more even though it gave me nightmares. Agent Cooper was a great central character and the theme was one of the most beautiful and haunting ever to have appeared on TV. Big up the log lady and backward talking dwarfs!
