The Laughter Show

Les Dennis and Dustin Gee paired up on this comedy sketch show in 1984. The pair had previously worked together on Who Do You Do? and Russ Abbot's Madhouse before teaming up for The Laughter Show.

The most memorable section of the show was probably the pair's famous impression of Mavis Riley and Vera Duckworth from Coronation Street.

Sadly the series finished prematurely when Dustin Gee died of a heart attack aged just 43. After a two week hold Les Dennis returned to finish the series and then 18 months later produced The Les Dennis Laughter Show.
