The Kids from 47A

Does anyone remember a programme which would be on in the mid to late seventies about a family (two girls and a boy I think) that were left on their own in a flat and had to fend for themselves. Only the oldest sister worked, and they had to protect themselves from the authorities finding out and trying to split them up? It was on around tea-time.

Kids from 47a - great TV. As I recall the elder of two boys was always wearing a Bham City kit and raving about Trevor Francis and Bob Latchford - the BCFC strikers of the day!!

I loved kids from 47a and like you guys i have never come across anyone who remembers it either. The youngest boy in the programme lived down the road from me in Battersea and i used to see him every morning in our corner shop in Sabine road. A very long time ago now.

Oh yes, I remember it well, especially Jess! Oh, I was in LOVE with that Lady! I wish I could watch the shows all over again. Strangely enough, I later had a step Daughter who reminded me soooooo much of Binny!

I remember them but I thought it was two boys and their mother played by Diana Dors or am I thinking of another programme? Anyway the eldest lad had blonde curly hair and a younger brother with dark hair, but I thought the eldest lad was played by Peter Firth who is now in the series Spooks. Can anyone confirm please?
