This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

The Great Space Coaster was a half-hour children's TV program which ran as a series from 1981 to 1986. The show was about three children who travelled in to space each day in their Space Coaster and in each show had different adventures.

I still remember part of the song: #The Great Space Coaster off we go on the great Space Coster#

    There's a 20 year aniversery conversation broadcast pod about The Great Space Coaster. It's last show aired 20 years ago back in the year 1986.Go to The Great Space Coaster Homepage @ www. great space coaster.com what's gnu tab. The link there will take you to the conversation panel @ my favorite show.com. This conversation panel has a one on one interview with Muppeteer Jim Martin, who played Gary Gnu. It also has a 4 way conversation with Emily Bindiger, who played Frannie, Chris Gifford, who played Danny, Ken Myles, who played Speedreader, and Muppeteer Kevin Clash, who played Goriddle Gorilla. Singer Emily Bindiger, who played 16 year old Frannie on TGSC admitted that her guitar that she played in the band on the show weighed a ton. Emily Bindiger also said that some of the outakes between Frannie and Goriddle Gorilla were kind of scarce. It won several peabody and emmy awards as an outstanding educational ,daytime children's t.v. show.

    Do you remember all the human celebrity guest stars on The Great Space Coaster such as Sally Struthers, Bess Armstrong, Linda Gray, Henry Winkler,Richard Kiel, "Mary" Kathleen Turner, Aileen Quinn AKA "Annie", Dr. Joyce Brothers, Geri Jewell, Charlotte Rae, Carol Channing,Valerie Harper, Mark Hamill,Rock Steady Crew Dancers, Ice Skaters Tai Babilonia and Randy Garner, Composer Marvin Hamlisch, and Singer Karen Carpenter- May She always rest in peace in heaven. The Great Space Coaster ran syndicated for 7 seasons from 1980 to 1987. Does anyone remember The Great Space Coaster being shown as reruns on Cartoon Network back in 1994?

    Does anyone remember Frannie, the very pretty 16 year old brunette singer/guitar player/female lead of the show? She was played by the very beautiful, talented Singer/Actress Emily Bindiger.Does anyone remember one episode where she was tickling Puppet Goriddle Gorilla and you could see a gold ring on her ring finger while she was tickling him? Does anyone remember the time Frannie kept hitting a bell on a table to distract Puppet Goriddle Gorilla's talk show? Goriddle yelled, "Don't ring the bell, Frannie!" But she kept on doing it! Do you remember the time Frannie found Puppet Goriddle Gorilla on top of The Coasterville Ampitheater pretending to be King Kong? Do you remember the time Frannie and Puppet Goriddle Gorilla sang a song together about being special? Do you remember the time Puppet Goriddle Gorilla stole Puppet Baxter The Clown's Father's Bananaman Videogame Birthday present? So Frannie, Danny, and Roy the 3 teenagers of The Coasterville Band took all of Goriddle's Bananas away from him to teach him a lesson for stealing!

    the greta space coaster get on board its the greta space coaster, one of my earliest memories of my youth was classic kids shows this had to be right up there with new zoo review, mr, rogers, seseme street . letter people. electric company. i used to sit and watch with my mom,. with cereal , before went to school remmeber one pisode with aileen quieen from movie annie singing with these furry puppets, good things come in small packages, the puppets were gerat and the human cast and the songs my favotite was the elephant . wo whwres classic tv programming like this gone.

    I Loved The Great Space Coaster! Especially Frannie, The Beautiful 16 Year Old Brunette Singer/Guitar Player/Female Lead of The Show! She once made Puppet Goriddle Gorilla into a Mock Scarecrow as A Practical Joke for Stealing Edison Elephant's Scarecrow to use to Play Soccer! She had such Beautiful Long, Dark Brown,Curly Hair and She Had A Very Pretty Face, Frannie!
