This was a television film which went out on UK TV some years before the Carpenter movie version. The TV storyline was set, I believe, in Cornwal, not in America as in the Carpenter movie. The story was the same, but with location changes. It told of the return of a ghost ship with the ghostly crew, to avenge the scuppering of the ship 100 years before. The special effects were much better, and creepier, than the Carpenter movie version.
