The 80s and 90s went mad for collectors' magazines for kids. Every week there was a new one out, normally based on a popular TV programme out at that time.

The Animals Of Farthing Wood was a TV series about a group of animals who were all friends, and had a magazine out each week. Each issue had a free collector's gift, like posters or stickers. You got to learn all about the various animal characters in the programme, facts about the show and more. You felt like a real expert!

    What a wonderful series this was, it made you think about the environment and how it's being abused. How woodland is being eaten up for housing estates and the consequences for the wildlife living there.
