T-Bag

T-Bag was a children's television program from the 1980's about a witch called T-Bag (short for Tallulah Bag I think). T-Bag's nephew was called T-Shirt!

In each episode there was a girl who used to have to complete a task in order to defeat the plans of T-Bag.

In total 94 episodes were filmed over a number of years including a couple of Christmas specials.

Originally T-Bag was played by Elizabeth Estensen who went on to play Diane Blackstock/Sugden in Emmerdale Farm and a regular guest was Roy Barraclough who appeared on the Les Dawson Show and in Coronation Street amongst other things.

"Wonders in Letterland" was the first series but it was later retitled "Troubles with T-Bag", the title used for the DVD. The first three, Estensen series are available on DVD. Contrary to many Internet sources, T-Shirt wasn't T-Bag's nephew but her T-Caddy, the servant whose task it was to make her evil cups of tea. Kellie Bright was last seen (by me, anyway) playing Del Boy's Mum in Rock and Chips, the Only Fools and Horses prequel. John Hasler who played T-Shirt now does voice-over work including for CBeebies shows. Google the T-Room and High-T websites for further information on T-Bag. There's a big fan community out there! Good old Thames Television.

Help! Does anybody remember a channel 4 80s kids show which had a man, someone dressed up as a dog and a machine that could make anything in their shop? This show is NOT Bertha. It was not an animated show and was broadcast un Sundays. Maybe chips came somewhere in the title or was the name of a character.
