Does anyone remember Striper Chew Bars? I used to eat them as a kid in the mid 80's and they were rainbow-coloured, stripy, fruit-flavoured chew bars. They came in a green wrapper and I think they were 10p

    Yes, i remenber the stiper bar, very nice and juicy! Does anyone remember Burton's 'Smax' snacks, similar to 'Fish and Chips but smokey bacon flavour, and also tuppenny biscuits...round chocolate shortbread completely covered in chocolate? Me and my friends used to steal these from the stockroom at school!!

    The striper chew bars you refer to were known in scotland as splicer bars.

    I loved Stripers! The T.V ads' were trippy when you look back. Anyone who hada bite turned multi-coloured like the bar - they were lush. And Texan Bars! MMMMMMMM HHHMMMMM!
