Games Consoles CONSOLES

SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)

This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

SNES was a great video game console which followed on from the populer Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Super Mario was the game you got with it, and I also had Mario Kart which I couldn't keep off! The games were like cartridges that had to be pushed down into the top of the console.

I love the SNES... And still have one! I've got Super Mario World, Super Street Fighter II and Super Return Of The Jedi (Which is ridiculously hard!). I also have my two favourite games of all time: Alien 3 and Jurassic Park! I also used to rent out games from our local video shop. I remember borrowing True Lies, Lethal Weapon 3, Judge Dredd, Chaos Engine, Magic Pockets and Simon The Sorcerer.

Marioworld was a true piece of art, games today have nowhere near that level of fun :-(

Super Marioworld was the greatest game ever. I wish they'd re-release it on the DS

I got the SNES for my 12th birthday and to start with I only had one game Home Alone (I was obsessed with Macaulay Culkin), but what a lame game. I ended up getting a few more games for it such as Yoshi Island, a brilliant game. As an adult I now have all the games I wanted as a child but didnt have!

I bought my SNES for twenty bucks off of a relative. He'd graduated to the N64 but it didn't bother me that he had the lastest gadget. I was in heaven. I still play Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Star Fox to this day. Still as good as ever.

I had a SNES when I was 13 and I'll always remember the feuding that used to go on in the classroom between the Megadrive owners and the SNES owners. The Megadrive owners could argue all they want that their console was better, they were still round my house after school playing Street Fighter 2.

I thought the SNES was great. It was my first games console and I had Super Mario and Yoshi, and Mario Kart
