Toys TOYS

Roadmaker

You end up with the entire collection of 75 Matchbox miniatures (and I've still got the VW golf with the surfboards on the roof after all these years!) but what good were they, really, without their own 70's Sim City to send them round?

Roadmaker was the answer! A box of interlocking bends, straights, junctions and traffic lights which gave budding 11 year olds the opportunity to create their very own Milton Keynes in their front rooms. It was obviously a very influential toy. Guess what I do for a living nowadays?

Like Dragon I was looking to see who made it and whether you can still buy it. I spent lots of hours playing with this in my childhood. Fond memories

Damn, I remember this. My grandparents got it for me, me and my cousin always played with it when we were little. We'd forgotten the name of it so it's nice to finally know.

YES! I remember "Roadmaker". Thought it was older than the 80's though. My grandmother bought me a set when I was very young. I was just trying to find out who made it, and If it's still out there somewhere when I found your entry. Anyone Else?
