Race N Chase Race Track

Race and Chase? WOW, I had this as a kid and I remember the track being the main star!

The black and yellow bits you could use to change direction on a bend as long as you hit the button on the top of the hand trigger. You usually hit it too fast and the car flew half way across the room! There was a bridge too which you could either hit at full speed and jump over (and rarely hit the track again) or take it slow, tip the ramp over and then whoever was chasing you was stuck. Awesome!

There was a version that featured two Spectrum Saloons from Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. I remember receiving one but I never remembered actually PLAYING with it

Does anyone recall Race 'n Chase as a hard plastic board of 4 or 6 sections forming a track with several junctions. The two cars supplied carried their own battery and were made to alter course by pushing 1 of 4 switches on th board (like points on a train track). Came with lots of cardboard buildings and a sheet of various go faster stripes to customise the cars.

My first ever race track. The police car was just the best thing going, and once you got your mate round with all his extra track pieces you could get a huge race and chase going. Ended up smashing the cop car when the corvette jumped into it though. Fantastic.
