One Two

One Two was a sort of Twix deluxe - twin chocolate bars with a biscuit filling. Unlike Twix, the two bars were individually wrapped with a serration between them. I even remember the advert: a mock gameshow where the object was to see how long you could go between eating the first and second. I actually used to take up this challenge, but usually lasted no longer than about 30 seconds. Surely someone must remember these...?!

Yes! I remember them and the advert and like you all, at times have questioned my sanity (which many others always seem to be doing!) I'm so glad, thank you - maybe I'll sleep now

One Two bars were made by Rowntree Mackintosh they were a Twix format two wafer type biscuit fingers similar to the Banjo bars The wrappers were navy blue with Red writing with One and Two on individual wrappers They were launched in 1980 and discontinued in 1981 in favour of the Drifter bar. The TV ad was a spoof game show which was split into two separate commercials to see how long you could eat one without the other the tagline was “Save the other one till later “ Not to be confused with the Cadburys One Two bar manufactured in Australia and New Zealand.

I found a fossilised one two bar here in New Zealand. I was trying to find out how old it was to date the sedimentary layer. Here are photos : https://www.reddit.com/r/newzealand/comments/jtq5h0/i_found_this_fossil_today_a_one_two_chocolate_bar/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Yes. Yes. YES. Someone else remembers this chocolate bar and the adverts split in two. Lovely bar with a serrated bit down the middle. I questioned my sanity. Hanha. No one else my age can remember it. You guys are the only people. Soooooo glad to finally find people who remember it. So puzzling that nothing online about it considering the unique two part adverts that were something quite original at the time. Thought would be a mention on all the old sweets, retro sweets pages......but they didnt have a clue what I was talking about either. Ha ha The only image I ever saw was about 20 years ago, a very low quality small jpeg of the one two bar. But not seen it since. We must be a select few who remember it. Hopefully pics will surface or even better....video. Keep searching.

I’ve been searching for so long and also thought I’d made this all up in my head. Till I found my friend remembered it aswel and finally I’ve got my sanity back. I need answers from Rowntree as to why it has vanished without trace

Yayyyyy .... I'm not alone! I've been describing the One-Two to folk for years and they have absolutely no memory of this yummy choc bar. I have never been able to even find a picture of the wrapper or the advert to show anyone. Was beginning to think I'd dreamt it all up!!!
