Produced in 1987 by Parker Games, this was surely one of Lovejoy's favourite board games! Masterpiece involved players bidding against each other for famous paintings. The catch, however, was that the Rembrandt you were bidding on could be a fake! The winner is the player who at the end of the game has managed to accumulate the biggest fortune in paintings and cash. It did for the world of art auctions what Monopoly did for the world of property investment.
