Kevin Keegan

He was probably the most iconic footballer of his generation. And certainly one of the first footballers to keep and flirt with the media spotlight. He even recorded a record and wrote for magazines.

In the 1970's and 1980's he played for Liverpool winning all the cups and trophies a fooballer can.

Perhaps he was best known (and fancied) for his curly, afro-like, hair in the 70's. He has since become a manager.

One of the footballing idols of the boys in my junior school, and the second player I got to know the name of after Georgie Best (I wasn't remotely interested in football as a kid, still aren't really). His short stint as England manager in the late '90s ended when he resigned following England's 2-1 World Cup qualifier defeat to Germany which was the last professional game to be played in the old Wembley Stadium. Does anyone know who he manages now? He also released a record around about '77 called 'Coming Home To England', one of the first sports stars to cut a single- it was in the charts for some time.
