This Memory is looking a little short on nostalgia! Have you got anything you could add?

Jaw Breakers were gobstoppers as big as your fist. You couldn't swallow properly so you had a trail of saliva constantly running down your chin until you got through the 20 layers of sugar to the tasteless bubbly in the middle. Great sweets but probably slightly hazardous.

    Hours of sweet pleasure suckin on Jawbreakers as a kid, I also remember a hot nippy version of them called Daredevils, you sucked them right down until you got to the final purple pink layer of heat woah HOT!! they probably are not allowed to make those kinda sweets now...Health & Safety gone mad in a Nanny state!

    I used to love jawbreakers.Thousands of lovely layers of colourful sugariness which took an age to eat. Bought my son some last week, he bit right through them, they just don't make them like they used to :(

    WOW, OMG, that last story made me think, I used to eat these jaw breakers all the time as a kid, I loved them, they were good fun, it was hilarious how they were too big to fit in your mouth and the fireball variety were like fireballs, and its true about you not being able to swallow your saliva while you hadone of these in your mouth, I remember that only too well. Classic 80s sweets, dangerous but good.

    a lad at my school had one in his mouth when he fell off his bike it lodged in his throat and killed him.

    YEAH I USED TO LOVE THE FIREBALL VARIETY, THEY USED TO CAUSE SOME REAL PAIN TO THE TASTE BUDS! I COULD NEVER GET A WHOLE ONE IN MY MOUTH AND YOU WOULD NEARLY TRY AND DISLOCATE YOUR JAW TRYING TO GET THEM IN!!!!
